Trainee Appraiser

Diversified Real Estate Services, Inc., an independent commercial real estate appraisal firm in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan area is looking for an appraiser. We offer a full range of services including appraisals, feasibility studies, tax abatement, market studies, and litigation support. Our clients include major financial institutions, REITs, commercial real estate developers, investors, insurance companies, law firms, and government agencies.

Qualifications/Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic, investigative thinker
Must have a 4-year degree with a preferable degree in Real Estate or Finance
Deliver high levels of customer service to clients, lenders, owners, or points of contact.

· Previous experience or exposure to the real estate industry is desirable, though not necessary. State licensure a plus but not a requirement.

Must have a high level of expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
You will learn to complete a variety of formal appraisals of land or real property for lending and non-lending purposes.
Evaluate properties to establish current market values using the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
Making on-site visits, inspecting, and measuring properties, and interviewing clients.
Stay informed of current regulations, standards, and best practices.
