Position Overview/Duties
- Manage, administer and provide technical supervision, and direction of the appraisal production program and activities required to perform the real estate appraisal mission of the USACE within SPD.
- Mission includes civil works and military programs including, not limited to: flood control, water supply, hydro power, hazardous/toxic waste, emergency management, full support to Army Commands, other federal agencies, state and local entities.
- Supervisory controls consist of broad functional objectives, supplemented by discussions and consultations with the Chief, Real Estate Division on matters of a precedent setting or major policy nature.
- You will have exceptionally wide latitude for independent action and decision in planning and controlling assigned functions within the framework of existing policies.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and schedule appraisal workloads throughout the SPD AOR, including TDY travel assignments to ensure effective use of travel time and funds for appraisal projects (in consultation with district lead and senior appraisers).

- Hiring incentives such as a recruitment/relocation bonus, service credit for leave, and student loan repayment may be authorized (subject to available budget).
- Relocation (PCS) expenses may be authorized (subject to available budget) if the selecting official determines the relocation is in the best interests of the government.
- This position is eligible for situational telework.
