Independence Acquisition & Appraisal, LLC is a leading right-of-way services firm in Florida. We specialize in real estate acquisition, relocation, and appraisal for critical infrastructure projects - partnering with DOTs, municipalities, and engineering firms to deliver results that serve the public good.

We are currently seeking a State-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with FDOT experience and a strong background in right or way cost estimating to join our growing dynamic team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare appraisal reports for partial and full acquisitions in compliance with state and federal (FDOT) requirements
• Conduct cost estimating for damages, construction impacts, and cure options
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and acquisition agents to evaluate value impacts
• Review right-of-way maps, legal descriptions, and construction plans
• Participate in pre-appraisal meetings, site visits, and file reviews

Qualifications

• Active State-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in Florida
• 3+ years of appraisal experience in right-of-way or eminent domain
• Proficiency with FDOT appraisal standards strongly preferred
• Skilled in cost estimating and value impact assessments
• Excellent documentation and time management skills
