Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical FHA Certified Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough property appraisals to determine the value of real estate assets. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, real estate appraisal methods, and compliance with Fair Housing Appraiser will utilize various tools and techniques, including GIS and financial software, to collect data and perform quantitative research.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive property appraisals for residential and commercial properties.
- Collect and analyze data related to property characteristics, market trends, and comparable sales.
- Prepare detailed financial reports that summarize findings and support valuation conclusions.
- Utilize GIS technology to enhance data collection and visualization of property information.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations throughout the appraisal process.
- Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information.
- Apply knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis to assess property values accurately.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tax regulations, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs that may impact valuations.
Requirements
- FHA approved
- Proven experience in real estate appraisal
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and quantitative research techniques.
- Familiarity with construction practices as they relate to property valuation.
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations and analysis.
- Experience with financial report writing to effectively communicate findings.
- Knowledge of GIS software for mapping and spatial analysis is a plus.
- Understanding of tax experience related to property assessments is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects efficiently.
