Senior Residential Staff Appraiser
Appraisify is hiring a W2 Staff Desktop Appraiser to complete desktop and hybrid residential appraisals for a growing roster of lender and institutional clients. This is a fully remote role. No interior inspections and no driving.
Compensation
Base salary: $68,000 per year
Total compensation at full production: approximately $135,000 to $140,000
Stretch earning potential: uncapped, with strong producers earning meaningfully more
Compensation is structured as a guaranteed base salary plus production-based incentive pay. Bonuses are paid bi-weekly, gated on quality control acceptance. Detailed compensation plan documents are reviewed during the offer stage.
Responsibilities
- Complete desktop and hybrid residential appraisals across the San Antonio and/or Austin MSAs.
- Develop credible value opinions in compliance with USPAP, applicable state law, and client scope requirements
- Analyze property data, MLS comps, public records, and third-party inspection data collected by trained data collectors
- Communicate professionally with internal QC and operations teams on status, complexity flags, and revision requests
- Respond to reconsideration of value (ROV) requests with reasoned, evidence-based replies
- Participate in training, calibration sessions, and product rollouts as new client programs come online
- Maintain consistent daily output that meets agreed-upon production standards
Qualifications
- Active Certified Residential or Licensed Residential certification in Texas, in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of residential appraisal experience
- Working knowledge of the San Antonio and/or Austin markets
- Strong skills in sales comparison methodology, including bracketing, adjustment support, and reconciliation
- Experience with desktop and hybrid product types, or willingness to learn them with paid training
- Reliable high-speed internet, a workstation suited to remote work, and the self-discipline to be productive without an office
- Clean disciplinary record with the TALCB
- FHA roster status is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in Slack and Google Cloud Applications a plus
