Senior Appraiser

Position: Senior Appraiser

Location: Remote or any Colony Bank location with available space

Position Overview:

The Senior Appraiser will review appraisals and perform written evaluation reports on commercial, residential, industrial and special-use properties.

Primary Job Functions:

• Ensure appraisal policies and procedures conform to USPAP and FIRREA requirements.
• Responsibilities include scoping of evaluation assignments, selecting vendors, and managing vendor relationships.
• Review appraisal reports for compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines. Responsible for forming an opinion as to the adequacy and appropriateness of the appraisal report being reviewed and drafting formal written reviews summarizing the quality of appraisal reports ensuring that the methodology, market data, and analysis are reasonable and that the reports conform to USPAP.
• Perform real estate evaluations and appraisals that are within regulatory guidelines and bank standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience and Special Requirements:

1. Certified General Appraisal license required.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience working in a financial institution appraisal department.
