APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY - $70,282.08 to $104,713.20 PAY GRADE: 37The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10. The Position

Review Appraisers appraise real property and review appraisals of all types of properties including complex commercial, industrial and special purpose; prepare fully-supported and documented determinations of just compensation for the acquisition of rights-of-way or disposal of surplus properties; conduct market rent studies and cost estimates; and serve as an expert witness in condemnation proceedings. Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action. Incumbent will perform appraisals and appraisal reviews of real property (and lesser estates), using state-rule valuation techniques and eminent-domain reporting formats, for right-of-way acquisitions needed for transportation projects. Other duties include the valuation of excess property approved for disposal, the preparation of cost estimates, rental evaluations and studies, as well as assignments involving consultation and advisement. Review Appraisers play an important role in the acquisition process and are charged with a great deal of valuation and administrative responsibility and are delegated with the authority to establish the amount to believed to be Just RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Current licensure as a Certified General Appraiser and three years of experience as a real property appraiser or intern; OR current licensure as a Certified General Appraiser and one year as a Review Appraiser Intern II in Nevada State service.

Special Requirements

A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.

Review Appraisers require licensure as a Certified General Appraiser issued by the Nevada State Real Estate Division at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment or persons with equivalent licensure from another State must obtain licensure as a Certified General Appraiser issued by the Nevada State Real Estate Division within three months of appointment.

Additional Position Criteria
