Appraiser Trainee (Hybrid Role)

📍 Florida Panhandle | Hybrid (Field + Remote Desk Work)

We are a busy and growing residential appraisal firm seeking an Appraiser Trainee to join our team. This role is designed for candidates pursuing a career in real estate appraisal who are ready to gain hands-on experience and complete their required apprenticeship hours toward full licensure.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position requiring both fieldwork and deskwork:

• Field: Accompany licensed appraisers on property inspections within our coverage area (locational proximity required).
• Desk: Assist with research, report preparation, and data management from a home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in property inspections under the supervision of a licensed appraiser.
• Collect and organize property data, photos, and comparable sales information.
• Assist with drafting and reviewing appraisal reports.
• Support workflow tracking, scheduling, and client communications as needed.
• Progressively take on more appraisal responsibilities as training advances.

Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing a career in real estate appraisal and willingness to complete state licensing requirements.
• Prior experience in real estate related fields including sales, construction, home inspection, insurance or mortgage is strongly preferred.
• Completion of some appraisal coursework (or currently enrolled) is a plus but not a deal-breaker.
• Must have strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
• Must have reliable transportation for fieldwork.
• Must have proficiency with basic computer tools (Word, PDFs, spreadsheets); familiarity with Google Workspace tools is a plus.
• Must be comfortable using Cell phone or tablet apps.

Compensation & Growth

• Starting structure: Part-time, per-assignment based pay.
