Residential Real Estate Appraiser Trainee

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Real Estate Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of real estate valuation principles and practices, with the ability to analyze data and provide accurate appraisals for residential and commercial properties. This role requires a combination of quantitative research skills, financial analysis capabilities, and knowledge of relevant regulations, including Fair Housing Experience necessary, will train a motivated candidate.

Duties

• Conduct thorough property inspections to assess condition, features, and overall value.
• Collect and analyze data related to property sales, market trends, and economic factors affecting real estate values.
• Prepare detailed appraisal reports that include financial analysis, market comparisons, and valuation conclusions.
• Utilize financial software and GIS tools to support data collection and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws throughout the appraisal process.
• Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to discuss findings and provide insights on property values.
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting principles, construction methods, and tax regulations that may impact appraisals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in real estate appraisal or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and quantitative research methodologies.
• Excellent math skills for accurate calculations in property valuation.
• Experience with data collection techniques and the use of financial software for analysis.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of the appraisal process.
