Position: Trainee Appraiser

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location Requirement

All applicants must be physically located in the Treasure Valley region of Idaho. This position requires local presence and is not open to remote or out-of-area candidates.

Are you passionate about real estate and looking to gain hands-on experience in property appraisal? We are seeking a licensed Trainee Appraiser to join our team and support us with property inspections across the Treasure Valley. This is an excellent opportunity to grow under seasoned appraisers and further your career in the appraisal industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical property inspections to collect accurate measurements and gather key property characteristics.
  • Take detailed notes and photos to assist with report development.
  • Communicate professionally with property owners, agents, and clients during site visits.
  • Collaborate with the supervisory appraiser to ensure data accuracy for appraisal reports.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections and follow industry standards for reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Trainee Appraiser in the state of Idaho (must be active and in good standing).
  • Familiarity with property measurements, construction components, and basic real estate concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow guidelines and procedures accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by regulatory standards.
  • Must be comfortable working independently and traveling locally throughout the Treasure Valley area.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in property inspections or real estate-related roles is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with industry software or tools (e.g., sketch programs, MLS systems) is advantageous.
