Prospect, Ohio Residential Appraiser Full-Time Hybrid $200 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Real Estate Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating properties to determine their market value based on various factors, including location, condition, and market trends. This role requires a strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and proficiency in real estate appraisal methodologies. The Real Estate Appraiser will play a crucial role in providing accurate and reliable assessments that inform investment decisions.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough property inspections to assess condition, features, and overall value.
  • Work remotely anywhere in the state of Ohio with the ability to be self driven.
  • Collect and analyze data on comparable properties to establish market trends and valuations.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports that summarize findings and support appraisals.
  • Utilize financial software to assist in data collection and analysis for accurate appraisals.
  • Stay informed about Fair Housing regulations and ensure compliance throughout the appraisal process.
  • Engage in quantitative research to enhance appraisal accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to discuss appraisal results and address any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of all appraisals conducted, ensuring documentation is thorough and organized.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in real estate appraisal or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in math and financial report writing skills is essential for accurate assessments.
  • Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs is a plus.
  • Experience with tax assessments related to property valuation is advantageous.
  • Excellent data collection skills with the ability to analyze quantitative research effectively.
  • Proficient in using financial software relevant to real estate appraisal tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Applicant must be Licensed Residential or better.
