Located in McAlester, Oklahoma, we are looking to expand our services into the Muskogee, OK and Durant, OK areas. This is a work from home position. You do not have to live in the markets, but will need knowledge of the markets and will have to drive there.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of real estate appraisal principles, financial concepts, and relevant role involves evaluating properties to determine their market value, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing comprehensive reports based on quantitative research and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough property inspections and assessments to evaluate condition, location, and market trends.
• Collect and analyze data related to property values, sales history, and local market conditions.
• Prepare detailed appraisal reports that include findings, methodologies used, and conclusions drawn.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws throughout the appraisal process.
• Utilize GIS technology to enhance property analysis and valuation accuracy.
• Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, and financial institutions to provide expert insights on property values.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tax implications, and changes in real estate laws that may affect appraisals.

Qualifications

• MUST be a certified residential or certified general appraiser.
• Proven experience in real estate appraisal.
• Strong mathematical skills with the ability to apply financial concepts effectively.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent data collection abilities and proficiency in quantitative research methodologies.
• Strong written communication skills for effective financial report writing.
• Knowledge of GIS tools for property analysis is a plus.
• A valid appraisal license or certification is required.
