Job Description
Job Title: Property Appraiser
Pay: $18 per hour

Must be willing to relocate to other counties based on the needs of the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and verify properties to ensure that property records reflect current and accurate property characteristics
- List or update information on property records as needed
- Drive to property locations, getting in and out of vehicle
- Physically walk around and examine all buildings to determine required property characteristics (daily average 3-mile walk)
- Record property characteristics, square footage, angles, sketches and dimensions on appropriate field documents and/or mobile devices
- Maintain personal production records in alignment with productivity targets
- Communicate professionally and effectively with the public to share the purpose of the visit to their property, inquiries about interior of the property, etc.
- Assist in training new Property Appraisers
Qualifications:
- Must pass background check
- High school graduate
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be willing to relocated to other counties based on the needs of the job
- Must have personal transportation to travel to properties in assigned project area for most of the workday and carry full insurance on the vehicle driven to perform job
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state in which the employee lives
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
- Able to read maps and locate items on a map
- Ability to visualize floor plan based on 3-D buildings
- Good math skills to calculate square footage, ratios and similar functions

Work Environment:
- Full-time position with regular travel to various properties within the assigned area.
- Outdoor and field-based work, requiring flexibility to adapt to changing environments and weather conditions.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday through Friday
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
