Overview

As a Licensed MAI, you will leverage your expertise to provide accurate property valuations, conduct comprehensive appraisals, and support strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed real estate appraisals and valuations for diverse property types, including commercial, residential, and special-use properties.
  • Analyze market data, comparable sales, income streams, and property conditions to determine accurate value estimates.
  • Prepare comprehensive appraisal reports that clearly communicate findings, methodologies, and conclusions in accordance with industry standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and physical assessments of properties to gather relevant data for valuation purposes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as lenders, investors, and legal professionals to support transaction processes.
  • Stay current with market trends, regulatory changes, and appraisal best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist in training junior staff or interns on appraisal techniques and industry regulations as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a MAI (Member of the Appraisal Institute) or equivalent certification recognized by relevant authorities.
  • Proven experience conducting real estate appraisals across various property types with a strong understanding of valuation methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of local real estate markets, zoning laws, environmental considerations, and appraisal standards such as USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and market indicators.
  • Strong written communication skills for preparing detailed reports that meet professional standards.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Nice-to-have skills include proficiency with appraisal software tools, GIS mapping systems, or advanced statistical analysis programs.
