PBV is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Appraiser and/or Appraiser Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have an interest in commercial and/or agricultural real estate (including supply and demand trends and other market factors), will have a strong understanding of real estate appraisal principles and practices, and possess the ability to conduct thorough research, data collection, and valuation analysis.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will need to possess the following attributes:

• Proven experience in real estate appraisal or a related field is preferred.
• Strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and financial concepts.
• Proficient in data collection techniques and quantitative research methodologies.
• Familiarity with construction principles as they relate to property valuation.
• Foundational knowledge of mathematics.
• Narrative business writing to draft clear and concise reports that communicate complex information effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously (multitask)
• Capacity to think laterally (outside the box) to solve problems
• Self-motivated to produce high quality work at all levels of business
• Grit and determination to succeed in fast paced environment
• Work as part of a team, but also be a proactive self starter
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft suite, with intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Adobe Acrobat

As our office is located in Salem, successful candidates will need to reside within the Willamette Valley.

Pay is commensurate with experience and credentials.
