Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Real Estate Appraiser to join our team located in Florham Park, NJ. This role will cover a territory in Northern and Central New Jersey. You'll gain hands-on experience with complex valuation assignments across a variety of property types and purposes, including financing, trusts & estates, and redevelopment assignments (PILOT/affordable housing), plus eminent-domain and tax-appeal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research, market analysis, and valuations for a broad spectrum of commercial real estate assets. Inspect properties. Prepare detailed appraisal and consulting reports tailored to client needs. Work alongside senior-level appraisers and MAI-designated professionals. Interface directly with clients, providing clear, data-supported insights. Contribute to high-profile assignments Potential to participate in the growth of the New Jersey office.

Qualifications:

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Expertise in preparing appraisals and reviews for complex properties. Comfort with complex land, easements, and surplus/excess land issues Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively. Foundational experience in Microsoft Office and valuation/reporting tools (Argus, Excel, CoStar, etc.).

Education and Work Requirements:

Bachelor's degree Active NJ Certified General Appraiser License required. MAI designation or candidacy is a plus, but not required. Minimum of 3 years of broad property type professional experience as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser. Reliable personal vehicle and valid auto insurance required for travel within the designated territory.
