Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Real Estate Appraiser to join our Jacksonville office. This role covers a diverse territory throughout Northeast Florida, the Florida Panhandle, and surrounding markets.

You’ll work on complex valuation assignments across multiple property types and purposes, including:

• Financial reporting
• Acquisitions
• Mortgage lending
• Portfolio analysis
• Feasibility studies
• Litigation support
• Eminent domain
• Estate planning

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct property inspections, subject and market research and analysis, and valuations across a wide range of commercial real estate assets
• Prepare detailed appraisal and consulting reports tailored to client needs
• Collaborate with senior MAI-designated professionals on complex assignments
• Interface directly with clients, providing clear, data-supported insights
• Contribute to high-profile projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Participate in and support the growth of the Jacksonville office

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience preparing appraisals for various commercial property types
• Solid understanding of valuation principles, commercial real estate terminology, and property tax jurisdictional processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and valuation/reporting tools (e.g., Argus, Excel, CoStar)
• Self-starter mindset with a passion for professional growth
• Collaborative and responsive approach with leadership and clients

Education & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Active Florida Certified General Appraiser License required
• Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser (broad property type exposure preferred)
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid auto insurance required for territory travel
• Applicants must be based in the North Florida Region
