As we grow our Southern California presence, we’re seeking an experienced appraiser to join our team.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser to perform valuation assignments across a wide range of commercial property types, including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, and special-use properties. This is a fully remote role, ideal for a self-motivated, self-directed professional seeking autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to work on high-caliber assignments across California.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive appraisal reports compliant with USPAP, FIRREA, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct property inspections across various markets in California.
• Perform thorough market research, data collection, and highest & best use analyses.
• Apply all valuation approaches (income, cost, and sales comparison) with consistency and rigor.
• Interact professionally with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines independently while maintaining exceptional quality.

Required Qualifications

• Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in the State of California (in good standing).
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal.
• Proven ability to manage the entire appraisal process—from engagement to delivery.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and appraisal software such as Valcre is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to thrive in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience appraising a variety of complex property types.
• Familiarity with ARGUS, Rockport VAL, CoStar, DataTree, and GIS tools.
• MAI designation or candidacy is a strong plus (but not required).
