Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Appraiser to join our team. This is a full-time position with flexible hybrid work options. As part of our team, you will conduct real estate appraisals for a diverse range of property types, including industrial, retail, office, multi-family, and specialized properties such as religious facilities, marinas, and car washes. Our service area includes New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, western Massachusetts, and eastern Pennsylvania. This role operates on a fee-split basis and includes IRA contributions and access to a group healthcare plan.

Responsibilities

Independently develop USPAP-compliant appraisal reports from start to finish
Conduct property inspections, analyze market data, and apply valuation methodologies
Prepare detailed written reports outlining findings and conclusions
Utilize valuation software and financial modeling tools to conduct cash flow analyses
Collaborate with team members and maintain clear communication with clients
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Qualifications

Certified General Real Estate Appraiser License in NY and/or NJ (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
3+ years of experience in commercial real estate valuation (preferred)
Strong understanding of valuation techniques, market trends, and financial analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
Experience or willingness to learn Discounted Cash Flow analyses (Argus software preferred)
Familiarity with Valcre Report Writing Software (preferred)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field (preferred)
