Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced MAI Appraiser to join our growing commercial division on a fee-split basis. This opportunity offers flexibility, independence, and the backing of a company that values quality over quantity.

You’ll complete high-level commercial property valuations for financial institutions, investors, and corporate clients — handling complex assignments with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct commercial property appraisals, including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and special-use properties
• Prepare detailed, defensible appraisal reports supported by market research and financial analysis
• Apply all three approaches to value (sales, cost, and income) with precision and clarity
• Maintain compliance with USPAP, FIRREA, and company quality standards
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction
• Manage assignments independently while meeting deadlines

Qualifications

• MAI Designation (Appraisal Institute) or significant progress toward completion
• Active Certified General Appraiser License in NY, NJ, PA, IL, FL, NC, GA, or NM
• Minimum 5 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience
• Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, market analysis, and financial modeling
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Narrative1, Argus, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated with high attention to detail and professional integrity
