Job Description

Position: Commercial Real Estate Appraiser

Monument is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Appraiser to join our Southern and Northern California Valuation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of impactful projects, primarily focused on right-of-way valuation assignments. The ideal candidate will be motivated, analytical, and eager to contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare appraisal reports
  • Conduct in-depth market research and property investigations
  • Collect and analyze data on comparable sales, leases, property characteristics, and local market trends
  • Engage with brokers and industry professionals to verify and enrich data
  • Populate and maintain valuation models in Excel and Word
  • Collaborate closely with team members on project delivery and client service

Qualifications

  • Appraisal license
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required
  • Minimum of two years of appraisal experience in right-of-way experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (intermediate level or above)
