Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical skills and a deep understanding of real estate valuation principles. As a Real Estate Appraiser, you will be responsible for evaluating properties to determine their market value, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing accurate reports based on your findings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough property inspections to assess condition, features, and overall value.
  • Collect and analyze data related to property values, including recent sales, market trends, and neighborhood characteristics.
  • Prepare detailed appraisal reports that clearly communicate findings and methodologies used in the valuation process.
  • Utilize financial software to assist in calculations and data management related to appraisals.
  • Stay informed about local real estate markets and changes in regulations affecting property valuations.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations throughout the appraisal process.
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, and real estate professionals to provide expert advice on property values.
  • Maintain accurate records of appraisals and related documentation for future reference.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in real estate appraisal or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis effectively.
  • Knowledge of tax implications related to property valuations is a plus.
  • Proficient in research data collection techniques and quantitative research methods.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required for accurate reporting.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A valid appraisal license or certification as required by state regulations is necessary.

This is an independent contractor 1099 position with a fee split. Split percentage is based on experience and skill and pay is determined by how many assignments are completed.
