Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Appraiser role located in the Greater Tucson Area. The Appraiser will be responsible for evaluating properties to establish accurate and fair assessments for tax purposes. Responsibilities include conducting detailed property inspections, analyzing market trends, interpreting zoning and legal descriptions, gathering construction and property data, and preparing professional reports. This role also involves engaging with property owners and other stakeholders to communicate findings and respond to inquiries. Collaboration with internal departments to ensure compliance with local regulations and guidelines is also essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and appraisal data.
  • Technical knowledge of real estate evaluation, property inspection, and zoning regulations.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and accurate record-keeping related to appraisals and assessments.
  • Proficiency in utilizing appraisal software tools and technology.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with property owners, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce professional and compliant reports.
  • Knowledge or experience in taxation and relevant laws, particularly in property tax assessments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in property appraisal or real estate is highly advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed for property inspections.
