Job Description

Appraiser - Range 12 / AMEA

: Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.

This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Union.

DEPARTMENT: Finance

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per PandP 40-40.

:

: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Business or Public Administration, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline

and experience in real estate sales or management, construction management, engineering, comprehensive planning, accounting, banking, business management, or a related field.

OR

Associates degree in Accounting, Economics, Business or Public Administration, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline

and two

  • years of experience in real estate sales or management, construction management, engineering, comprehensive planning, accounting, banking, business management, or a related field.

OR

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

and four

  • years of experience in real estate sales or management, construction management, engineering, comprehensive planning, accounting, banking, business management, or a related field.

All Applicants Must Possess And/or Complete

Valid State of Alaska Drivers License with satisfactory driving record

at time of hire.

Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history

at time of hire.
